Got those coveted R.N. initials behind my name now!

I've finally done it! Took NCLEX Thursday and what a doozy that was! Got the good pop up about an hour later and then checked quick results last night with the wonderful word PASS on the screen.

I will say, the pop up trick does not work 5 minutes after finishing your exam. Nor does it work 8 minutes after. Not at 12 minutes. Not even 25 minutes later. It took about an hour. Quick results took about 48 hours to show up. Read More...

Motivation needed to get through Excelsior RN program

I started to take my pre-req's for Excelsior's ASN RN program Jan '11. I have completed the Sociology exam and I am about to take the Life Span and Development exam. These have not been terribly difficult classes but have taken me forever to complete due to motivation issues. I want to continue this track because I have to work while I go to school. The thought of going to a community college to go through an RN program gives me the willies just thinking about it. LPN school was intense, I can only imagine what the RN program would be like. I am a current LPN student & expect to graduate in August. I was hoping to go into the LPN-ADN bridge program at my school, but I just found out that I will only have one more semester of Pell at my school & they don't accepts government loans, so I'm looking into other options. When you are failing

When you are failing...what do you do? Do you drop out? Or do you stick it out and finish? My theory portion is good, but my clinical instructor says I am failing my clinical. There is a slight chance that I will pass my assessment test at the end of the quarter, but I am so effing scared. My abdominal assessments are the death of me! Welp, turns out I passed the NCLEX after the second attempt. Just wanna say to keep the faith, fellas. Once you gentleman pass this test, a wave of relief will wash over you, and you'll feel like a new man.
