Why would a patients respiratory rate be set at 28 on a mechanical ventilator?

Concept Mapping: Help me be better

I've been assigned my first concept map for my patient. I need 4 nursing diagnoses, in order of priority. I remember from reading countless other posts on here that I should not be trying to fit my patient into a diagnosis, but rather look at my patient, figure out what I see and that should lead me to a diagnosis. [Toon] To DVR or not to DVR that is the question?

So...when you start nursing school, you are sure that you can just record your favorite shows and watch them when you finish school. Is this realistic? Are you going to have a million hours to watch TV once you start that coveted new RN job? Uh...probably not....so what is your "must watch" TV show? My advice: watch one show only! Good luck.
