I've been wondering about this lately... Just from reading on here, I've become aware of some of the differences between LPNs and RNs. Some of the things I've read were pushing IV meds and a few other things I can't recall them. But it doesn't seem like there is a whole lot of difference between the pn and rn. Am I wrong? Please fill me in...
My nursing preceptor gave me an article on professionalism from a nursing periodical yesterday on our previous shift (hint, hint) and added that it's something everybody should read. Ok, so I read it...
Here's something to make you all laugh ... Yesterday I was dragging. It was Monday, coming back from a week off, hadn't slept well, etc. An hour before the end of the shift. The nurse questions the client regarding which of the following that may best help with determining why the client is currently having health problems?
Hey I wanted to get everyones opinion on online classes. Does it show on your transcripts that the class was online? Is this frowned upon? I am taking two classes online right now (child dev and nutrition) and I love being able to go at my own pace. For obvious reasons I know that I will need to take chem, bio, A&P and math all in-class, but for now is it ok to take what I can online?

Regional Discussion - Florida
I switched from my previous career to pursue nursing and now I’m beginning to wonder if I had made the right choice. I’ve always had an interest in health, the medical field and I love helping people so I thought nursing would be a perfect "relatively quick" switch to a new profession. I was 26 at the time and I knew I eventually wanted to start a family.
I really just want to vent, express my feelings, and my opinion on an issue that I know NEW GRADS (RN'S) all over the United States are experiencing, like I said I need to vent, so pardon meet if anyone feel offended about what I am about to say, not that I got that out of the way here we go..
