What is the difference between having an Associates in Nursing vs having an Associates of any kind, as long as it has the science prereqs to graduate from a Nursing Bachelors program? It's throwing me off and I want to make sure I am in the right direction.

I just purchased Hurst Online Review. Has anyone used it and felt it was a good to pass the NCLEX? How long did it take to finish the whole review and do the practice questions? Did you use any other materials with it??

Buy nursing books from School bookstore or other websites?!

I start nursing school in the fall at Wayne State, and would like to buy my books ahead of time. If I buy used books from my university bookstore the total comes to $800. I looked on a few other websites (amazon, alibris, ebay, abebooks, and etc), and got my total to $200 (max). Who wouldn't love to save $600 on books?!

ATI Comprehensive Predictor and NCLEX

Has anyone recently taken the ATI Comprehensive Predictor and how did it compare to the NCLEX? The test predicted that I had a 99% chance of passing the NCLEX on my first try. Did anyone else feel that this test prepared them for the NCLEX?

As a student, you want to be remembered.....for your skills and not your scrubs. Have you ever gotten scrubs that looked fine on the sales rack in the store? Sure they were marked down, but they fit your budget. They were fine.......until you got to the hospital and they really made you stand out......for all the wrong reasons.

How prepared did you feel?

I've been looking into Excelsior's bridge program but have doubts about it preparing me enough. My goal is to work in acute/critical care areas in the hospital once I obtain my RN. My question is do others who have graduated and landed jobs feel like they were prepared enough or would you recommend going to a traditional school?
