Dreams change, people grow. There can be satisfaction in letting go and moving on. Circumstances of my life led me to places that I never would have chosen to go on my own. This is my story of how my dream started and then evolved along the way.

Did you ever have a moment where you just wanted to explode?
You know what I mean...

The author recently inherited a challenging class of nursing students that were difficult to engage in the learning process. A brief survey was administered to the students during the first class meeting. It provided the author with each student's personal perspectives of their needs and expectations while providing them with a vehicle for venting their frustrations, voicing their needs, and reflecting on their learning experience thus far. As a result, every student became an active participant in a successful learning experience.
I had a question for nurses who have been preceptors to new nurses, whether you liked it or not Did you spend all your time with the new nurse as she took care of her the patients or did you leave the new nurse alone most of the time (as in left the floor for 30 minutes to hours). I review my resume every few days. It seems to be a constantly evolving work in progress. I have a couple other people eyeball it for me (for mistakes) and they tell me "looks good". GREAT! I'll start papering the entire county with my resume and maybe a few for the neighboring counties too. So I open up my resume to add something to it and much to my dismay....ERRORS - teeny tiny ones, but they are there - plain as day. UGH! All those resumes are out there sullying my good name and I can't fix them. *sigh* How on earth am I going to convince anyone that I have WONDERFUL attention to detail if I cannot manage to hand in a resume with no typos...
Reaching under commercial lawn-mower to remove stick. Mower running. Started with 10, ended with 6. Yikes!
