Just wondering what some of you thought might be a big setback in the nursing industry? What is holding it back from being something that it may not be. Look forward to hearing your thoughts on this.
The question is pretty much self-explanatory. I'm getting my BSN in a faith-based, private university with their own hospital. I've observed that there's such a huge difference between nurses who incorporate their faith into their nursing job compared to others who do not. So in what ways, do you incorporate your faith into your work?
Every year, Ocean City, NJ has an event similar to "groundhog day"...
The following is a Media Advisory sent out by the city of Ocean City which includes more of the information about the event to take place on May 5th.
As you can see when you read...much of this is "all made up and all in good fun" HOWEVER- do you think it is offensive to nurses and an objectionable portrayal to those in health-care...
So yesterday I posted how I landed an interview for my dream specialty which is OB/GYN. This is job is in a doctors office in a private practice. Well today I had the interview and it was horrific. Student Discussions
I may have the opportunity to get an iPad this summer and was wondering what function it can serve for a Nursing student. I will be starting my program this fall and plan on buying the books (I like to be able to flip pages) but see the value in also having them loaded on an iPad. I believe our bookstore offers the e-version of our books for a small fee in addition to buying the actual book.
What do you use your iPad for in school?
So I've always been a solo flyer when it comes to studying and I'm wondering if I do not act as "part of the group" if I will be asking for trouble. I was just accepted to an ADN-RN program. Clearly this is a generic question but I get the feeling that in nursing school your cohort is generally pretty tight (except for the people that hate their classmates)
Regional Discussion - New Jersey
My co worker and I go to school together. We got into a bit of a debate yesterday and I want your opinion...
He wants to transfer to a BSN program before getting his RN because he says it's a waste of time when hospitals only want BSN's .... (we are both currently PCT's in ICU)
While I agree hospitals are now primarily hiring BSN's, I want to Finish my RN so I can get a better paying job so I can continue to my BSN .... What do you all think?
