Read More I was returning to work a shift with patients which I had previous experience's with. One of these patients was a preganant ICU patient with pulm. and CV compromise. Upon my arrival the PM charge nurse had decided that my assignments needed to be changed. The reason and I quote was " Male nurses have no right to be in a laboring womens room!" and out of consideration for her needs I would not have the same assignment.
Read More Student Discussions I just took it. 75 Questions. I don't feel like there was one question where I was like, "I Know this!!!" I felt like I was at best giving slightly educated guesses. Every question was so hard and obscure. I was a good student in school, did ALL of the Kaplan review (which was over 2000 practice questions when it was said and done) which indicated I was more than ready.

Read More Regional Discussion - California I am completing my preceotorship in a very famous Christian Hospital in Southern California. She is a young 30+ blond with not more than 4 years experience. I am atleast 6-7 years older to her. She yells at me, demoralizes me infront of other nurses and uses me most of the time like CNA even though I am in graduate RN program. I am 100% sure that this preceptor will give me bad evaluation.
