Anyway, I am an RN on a busy day shift med-surg/onc floor. The other day it was crazy. It was about 1400 and I had not eaten or peed. I was starting to feel a bit sick. I told the HUC that I was not feeling well and that I was going to take a quick break to pee and eat something real quick. I told her to tell the CNA I was working with that I was not feeling good, would be back quickly, and to give her this note.

I was reading other threads and I came across students who were accepted to private nursing schools but declined their acceptance because of the tuition. If nursing is your passion by any means necessary you should do everything to accomplish your goal. In NY, nurses start off with 70K+ a year, so in a rough estimate its possible to pay off large loans within 5-10 yrs. The cheaper schools are much more competitive to get into. If you get accepted into NYU, PACE, LIU etc. just go for it. Is anyone with me on this?

I should start a Nursing program in the next 3-6 months, and I'm debating over whether I should use my laptop or not. I will obviously bring a binder and writing utensils..but I'm wondering if I can keep more information in my laptop. I type 65+/wpm, so I'm thinking I may be able to get more information down. Plus, it seems very organized.
What do you think? How did you go about taking notes and learning in your classes?

Can someone please help me to understand why a nursing student would not want to attend his/her pinning ceremony.
I just don't understand. My friend and I are about to complete our nursing program in about 6 weeks. She keeps telling me that she may not attend our pinning. I did not jump down her throat or anything I was just curious as to why she felt this way.
