New Grad RN Starting Nursing Career During the COVID-19 PandemicI am currently a newly licensed RN who graduated from nursing school in December 2019. I remember feeling ecstatic graduating from nursing school in the months leading up to my graduation because I always doubted myself and thought I would never graduate nursing school. During those months, the thought of starting my nursing career during a pandemic or let alone a pandemic occurring, have never crossed my mind. Not one bit. |
Intangible Nurse SuperpowersA CNM showed me how to be heroic by being exemplary when I was her patient. Later, she was my patient when I began work in hospice. These experiences taught me that nurse superpowers are intangible without human to human connections. |
Should I start nursing school this May?I'm currently anticipating starting in a nursing program (15 month ABSN) in May of this year. However due to COVID-19, I am not sure if I should start or just defer my enrollment by a year. The program has currently made all classes online until further notice. |
Just passed at 130 (max due to covid) Pearson Vue Trick didn’t work.I want to share my story because some of you may be in the same situation. I took the NCLEX with the new COVID rules: 60 questions min, 130 max. After 60 questions, the test kept going. |
