I make notes as I read then compare them with the power points after lecture. Always read the chapters PRIOR to lecture, it will help you understand the material better.

Everyone is different so keep that in mind when you find what works for you. Go to every lecture, take notes, & ask questions. If power points are available watch them and "fill in the blanks" using your notes.
