"LPNs should be done away with altogether"

As an offshoot to the News article about nursing education, an opinion was brought to the board that LPNs are not adequately prepared to care for patients, and that their education is not strenuous like an RN program is. Having been in the field for awhile, what is your opinion on the differences between LPNs and RNs, other than the legally different aspects (LPNs cannot do initial assessments or IVs in my state for instance)

Nervous over possible termination

I found out that I had made a med error five days in a row, ( I didnt check the dosage listed on the pill card). I was taken of the schedule for sat, and sun., and asked to meet with the DON on mon(holiday). She was not in on monday (my normal day off). I arrived to work on tuesday and was not on the schedule. I am terrified that I am going to get fired, is that likely?

Now its getting outta HAND !

A couple days ago I posted a thread about my instructor who talks way too much during lecture, well since then its gotten worst ! Its to the point where she is using two classes to go over information for ONE CLASS. She can't even go over a 25 page powerpoint in 3 hours ( which is one class), instead she uses two class days a total of 6 hours to go over one freakin powerpoint !
